2026 Buick Envista vs 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in Downers Grove, IL

Are you interested in a subcompact SUV for your Downers Grove drives, but aren’t sure which one would best suit your needs? Then learn how the 2026 Buick Envista triumphs over the competition! Our dealership team at Bill Kay Buick GMC would like to show you how it compares to the 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.

Performance

In regard to capabilities, the primary difference between the Buick Envista and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is their standard engine. The former is home to a 1.2L turbocharged 3-cylinder powertrain, while the latter carries a 2.0L 4-cylinder system. But as you will see, the Buick model proves to be more efficient, as its 28/32/30 MPG city/hwy/combined1 fuel economy rating excels over the Mitsubishi’s 23/29/26 MPG city/hwy/combined2 EPA-estimated rating. The Envista’s standard 6-speed automatic transmission will also provide a more traditional feel to your acceleration than the Outlander Sport’s standard Continuously Variable Transmission. However, you’ll find that they share other qualities, such as a standard FWD system for enhanced efficiency.

Interior

You’ll find that much is similar between the 2026 Buick Envista and the 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in regard to their interiors. For instance, they are both home to standard wireless Apple CarPlay®3 and Android Auto™4 integrations. However, you will find that the Mitsubishi model is lacking a wireless charging pad5, something the Envista makes available. And while the Outlander Sport attempts to compensate with its standard 8.0-inch touchscreen, the Buick SUV once again wins this competition with its standard 11.0-inch iteration. And if you seek to relax, the optional 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat within the Envista will provide more comfort than the Outlander Sport’s 4-way power-adjustable variant.

Exterior

When taking a look at the exteriors of the Buick Envista and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, you’ll once again find a few even matches. This includes standard LED headlights for those late-night drives in the Chicagoland area. However, there are many areas in which the Mitsubishi falls short. One instance is the standard heated side-view mirrors, as the Envista boasts this, as well as standard integrated turn signal indicators. While you may be impressed with the available 18-inch wheels on the Outlander Sport, the Buick model once again proves itself superior with the optional 19-inch variants.
